An employee for the Subway restaurant at 7370 Sawmill Road offered a robbery suspect free food instead of cash at 6:28 p.m. Feb. 11, but it didn't work.

According a Columbus police report, the suspect came out of a restroom with his hands in his pockets and demanded money.

In rejecting the substitute of free food, the suspect allegedly threatened to kill the employee, then came around the counter and took cash from the register.

In other northwest Columbus police reports:

* Two women, one 36 years old and the other 34, reportedly got into a physical altercation over a parking spot in the 7300 block of Falls Creek Lane at 1:31 p.m. Feb. 15.

* A 53-year-old Powell man said he was driving near the intersection of Smoky Road and Billingsley roads at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14 when someone threw a rock at his windshield, causing it to break. In a report filed the following day, the victim estimated the damage at $500. "Reporting person does not know where the rock came from," the report said.

* A 27-year-old woman said the person who entered her residence in the 6300 block of Cherylbrook Drive at 3 p.m. Feb. 13 left behind his identification.

"Victim stated no items were missing to her knowledge and nothing was touched," the report said. "Victim found the suspect's identification on the steps in her home. The victim stated she does not know the suspect and has never had any contact (with the suspect). Victim stated her mother does know the suspect and met him on a dating website."

* Officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress at the CVS store, 7470 Sawmill Road, at 1 a.m. Feb. 13.

The subsequent report listed two additional victims, men ages 18 and 46, as well as $20 worth of prescription drugs having been stolen.
