Supporting arts experiences for students is a mission of the Arts Council of Westerville.
As part of this goal, the Arts Council has awarded Arts Education Grants for a mandolin project at Hawthorne Elementary School and to help acquire an electric potter's wheel at Heritage Middle School.
The "Hawthorne Mandolin Project" was entered by Mick Broderick and Sarah McPeak, and "Ceramics: Beyond Hand-Building!" was submitted by Chas McCutcheon and Megan Walker.
The Arts Council commends these teachers for their innovative initiatives to enhance educational opportunities for students.
