Central Ohio’s newest Winking Lizard Tavern is expected to open at 4 p.m. sharp Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The Reynoldsburg location, 7995 E. Broad St., will have a familiar look: 32 high-definition TVs, a large dining room that seats 170 and an expansive patio complete with a firepit and garage doors leading to the bar, according to beverage manager Sean Avren.

Winking Lizard will not disappoint with its beer selections, for which the Cleveland-based chain is known, with 35 brews on tap, mostly microbrews, and another 140 by the bottle, Avren said.

The restaurant also will be known for having one of the finest bourbon lists in the city, keeping pace with other Winking Lizard stores, he said.

As for the food, the Reynoldsburg location will feature a $5.99 burger at lunch. The menu also will have items offered in Cleveland-area stores but not elsewhere locally, such as the Mediterranean chicken salad, rice pilaf, baked beans and such, Avren said.

The new opening follows the Feb. 16 closing of the Winking Lizard in Crosswoods.

Westerville-based Metro Development is seeking to build a 168-unit “extended-stay facility” called Hayden Reserve in Crosswoods, the north Columbus commercial district off U.S Route 23, just north of Interstate 270 and Worthington.

Hayden Reserve will be built on the sites occupied by Winking Lizard, 100 Hutchinson Ave.
