Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway

Spring Break Movie Matinee, 1 p.m. March 22, 23 and 26-29 at the Nature Center. Guests will watch a double-feature nature movie featuring the Wild Kratt brothers then make a craft.

Wild Teas, 1 p.m. March 24 at the Nature Center. Guests will learn how to identify wild plants that make teas and try samples.

Dances With Woodcocks, 7:30 p.m. March 24 at the Nature Center. Guests will search for this bird as it performs an aerial courtship dance.

Wildflower Photography, 9 a.m. March 25 at the Ranger Station. Guests will learn composition techniques and take a 2-mile, off-trail hike to look for snow trillium and other blooms.

Metro Five-0: Level 2 Woodcocks, 7:30 p.m. March 25 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 50 and older will search for this bird as he performs his aerial courtship dance.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Salamanders, 11 a.m. March 24 at the Nature Center. Guests will search for these elusive amphibians.

Creature Feature: Fire Salamander, 2 p.m. March 25 at the Beech Maple Lodge. Guests will watch a Wild Kratts film about these amphibians and meet one up close.

Metro Five-0: Level 3 Early Risers, 8 a.m. March 26 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 50 and older will take a 2-mile walk and see what is happening in the park.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Westerville

90-Minute Birding, 9:30 a.m. March 24 at the Nature Center. Guests will go on a walk of up to 1 mile to areas where birds have been seen recently.

Cub Scout Day: Bears Fur, Feathers and Ferns, 2 p.m. March 24 at the Nature Center. Cub Scouts will participate in activities that are part of the Fur, Feathers and Ferns Adventure.

Woodpeckers, 1 p.m. March 25 at the Nature Center. Guests will take a 2-mile walk on woodland trails to see and hear these birds.

Spring Break Scavenger Hunt and Crafts, noon to 4 p.m. March 29-31 at the Nature Center. Guests will see displays and live animals, watch birds at the windows, try a scavenger hunt and make a craft.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

9801 Hyland Croy Road, Plain City

For Adults: Hidden Wetlands, 10 a.m. March 22 at the Picnic Shelter Bulletin Board. Guests ages 18 and older will hike three miles off-trail to the wetlands and search for wildlife.

For Kids: Wildlife Hike, 10 a.m. March 27 at the Picnic Shelter Bulletin Board. Children ages 3-10 will search for animals on a 1-mile hike.

Highbanks Metro Park

9466 U.S. Route 23 N., Lewis Center

Friday Feeding, 1 p.m. March 23 at the Nature Center. Guests will watch the naturalist feed reptiles and amphibians and learn what it takes to care for them.

Eagle Walk, 10 a.m. March 24 at the Nature Center. Guests will hike 3 miles and look for bald eagles in their nest.

Homeschoolers: Ohio History, 1 p.m. March 26 at the Nature Center. Students ages 6-17 will see artifacts from early prehistoric people and take a hike to an Adena burial mound.

Metro Five-0: Level 3 Weed Appreciation Day, 11 a.m. March 28 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 50 and older will take a 2-mile hike and discuss some of the culinary and medicinal benefits of Ohio's pesky weeds such as dandelions and clovers.

Homestead

4675 Cosgray Road, Hilliard

Spring Scavenger Hunt, 10 a.m. March 23 at the Barn. Children ages 3-10 will find signs of animals getting ready for spring.

Rocky Fork Metro Park

7180 Walnut St., Westerville

Woodcocks, 7:30 p.m. March 24 at the Millstone Picnic Area. Guests will search for these birds and watch their acrobatic courtship flights.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

Pre-K Storytime, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, 505 W. Whittier St. Bring little ones for a nature-inspired story or two.

Birdwatching for Beginners, 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests will learn how to use binoculars and search for birds.

Sharon Woods Metro Park

6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville

GPS Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 24 at the Maple Grove Bulletin Board. Guests will search for plastic eggs using GPS units to win prizes.

Preschoolers Plus: Spring Fling Open House, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 27 and 28 at the Spring Hollow Lodge. Children ages 3-8 will take part in games, crafts and activities that celebrate the coming of spring.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Eagle Watch Weekend, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. March 24 and 2 p.m. March 25 at the Madison Christian Church parking lot, 3565 Bixby Road, Groveport. Guests will take a 1-mile off-trail walk to see the nesting bald eagles through a spotting scope.

Preschoolers: Hop Into Spring, 10 a.m. March 27 at the Heritage Log Cabin, 551 Wirt Road, Groveport. Guests will discover frogs, toads and salamanders through stories, activities and a short walk.

Older Homeschoolers: All About Eagles, 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 28 at Madison Christian Church. Children ages 7 and older will learn about the history of America's national bird and take a 1-mile off-trail hike to see the nesting bald eagles through a spotting scope.
