Westerville police said a 16-year-old Westerville boy was arrested after allegedly stealing his stepfather's vehicle.

According to reports, the boy's stepfather reported that Columbus police had brought the boy home around 3 a.m. March 27 after catching him drinking underage.

The boy was described as "very upset," and tried to leave the house multiple times, but the stepfather stopped him because he still was intoxicated, reports stated.

When the man left for work around 5 a.m. that day, he could not find his vehicle. He went back inside to check for the boy, who was gone.

The man told police the boy was not allowed to use the vehicle.

Later that day, workers at a business in the 700 block of Schrock Road reported seeing a boy leave a car and walk away.

The boy was arrested and charged with theft of a vehicle through the Franklin County Juvenile Court, reports stated.

* A Westerville woman reported someone had stolen her identity for multiple accounts.

According to reports, the woman noticed on the afternoon of March 29 that someone had opened a PayPal account in her name, and had used a credit card under her name for $2,000 in purchases.

She told police she also got a call from a loan company about a house loan.

* A resident in the 100 block of Matthew Avenue reported someone stole prescription medications from the home on the night of March 31.
