An early morning fire displaced the residents of a Gahanna apartment building Thursday, May 10.

Mifflin Township firefighters responded to a report of a blaze on the 900 block of Vista Drive around 12:20 a.m.

The building that caught fire has four apartments, all of which were left uninhabitable, Mifflin Township Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Rapp said.

A resident smelled smoke outside the building and warned the other residents, who left before firefighters arrived, she said.

Fire crews had the fire under control in about 15 minutes, Rapp said. They remained on the scene for several hours investigating.
