We can't Yelp but share this.

ThisWeek Community News staff members organized a reader-advisory panel Thursday, June 28, with nearly two dozen Yelp Columbus Elite members from all over central Ohio. The panel was held at ThisWeek's home: The Columbus Dispatch printing facility at 5300 Crosswind Drive, Columbus.

The Yelpers were taken on a tour of the facility by Jack Conaboy, the pressroom manager.

They met afterward for a panel with four staff members from the ThisWeek newsroom: managing editor Lee Cochran; assistant managing editor Scott Hummel; assignment editor Neil Thompson; and page designer Abby Armbruster, who also manages many of ThisWeek's social-media accounts. Armbruster set up the event with Jayme Hitchcock, community manager for Yelp Columbus.

Panel topics included questions and discussion on coverage decisions and content, types of stories and story ideas.

We enjoyed meeting with them – and we hope we get some good reviews.

We will hold more of these panels in the future, so please email us at editorial@thisweeknews.com if you'd like to take part.
