A woman said she was the victim of a road-rage incident at the intersection of Sinclair Road and East Lincoln Avenue at 4:15 p.m. July 11.

The woman, 42, told an officer that another motorist almost backed into her car at that location. The suspect "then chased her down to confront her," the officer noted. "Victim states that the suspect yelled profanities and then kicked the driver door of her vehicle, denting it. Victim states that she drove home and then saw the suspect drive by and park at a vacant house just down the street from her."

In other Northland-area police reports:

* A woman told police her book-bag purse was yanked from her shoulder in the 1800 block of Tamarack Circle North at 7:50 a.m. July 11. The victim, 42, said the suspect ran away after stealing the $30 purse, which contained earphones worth $300, her driver's license, several credit cards and $40 worth of diapers and other baby items.

* A man who entered a store in the 2400 block of East Dublin-Granville Road at 5:05 p.m. July 9 asked to look at a $1,200 cellphone. According to an employee, as soon as he was handed the phone, the man turned and ran out of the store. The incident was captured on camera, according to the responding officer, and at a later date, a clear image of the suspect was viewed.

* A man, 21, said he was robbed at gunpoint of a $900 cellphone at 11:35 p.m. July 9 in the 5700 block of Arborwood Court. The victim said he was attempting to sell the phone when one suspect pointed a gun at him and a second suspect took the phone. Both suspects fled the scene on foot.

* A man, 55, said he was punched in the face and robbed of $50 by someone who came up from behind and choked him at 5:05 p.m. July 9 in the 5600 block of Cleveland Avenue.

The victim said that he was counting money when the attack took place. The suspect demanded the cash and the victim said he refused but then had the money wrested from him after he was punched.

The victim was able to provide a description.
