Six vehicles were broken into between 4 and 6:30 p.m. July 22 in parking lots adjacent to the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center, 3850 Veterans Memorial Drive, and Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park, 3800 Veterans Memorial Drive.

Eight people reported property stolen from the six vehicles, according to the Hilliard Division of Police.

Each vehicle was entered by force, mostly through a broken window, Sgt. Suzanne Muraco said. Total property loss was $4,021, according to the police report.

Stolen items included designer purses containing credit cards, checks and driver's licenses, several pairs of sunglasses, coin purses, a day planner and $500 in cash.

In other recent Hilliard police incident reports:

* A 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck worth $1,500 was reported stolen between 6:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 27 from the 4600 block of Crystal Clear Drive.

A known person who was not allowed inside the residence entered and took the keys to the vehicle. The person did not have permission to take the vehicle, Muraco said.

As of July 30, the vehicle had not been recovered and no charges have been filed.

* Two external hard drives worth $200 were reported stolen between 8 a.m. July 18 and 1 p.m. July 20 from the 4200 block of Summit Bend Road.

* Prescription medication was reported stolen between 5:25 and 5:30 a.m. July 21 from a vehicle in the 5600 block of Jennybrook Lane.

* A credit card was reported stolen between 7:30 and 7:35 a.m. July 22 from the 3600 block of Main Street.

* A laptop computer and charger worth $2,250 were reported stolen between 4:30 p.m. July 20 and 4:30 p.m. July 2 from the 3200 block of Scioto Glen Drive.

* A purse containing keys, a bank card, gift cards and a driver's license was reported stolen between 6 and 8 p.m. July 22 from a vehicle in the 4600 block of Cosgray Road.

* A debit card was reported stolen at 4:20 p.m. July 25 in the 4700 block of Tremont Club Drive.

* Cash in the amount of $481 was reported stolen at 10:40 p.m. July 25 from the 3300 block of Paxton Court.

* A burglary was reported between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. July 26 from the 4900 block of Drayton Road. A mountain bicycle worth $100 was reported stolen.

* A 50-year-old man was arrested on a felony charge of receiving stolen property at 7:30 a.m. July 22 in the 3600 block of Main Street.

* A 54-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property at 4 p.m. July 24 in the 4000 block of Columbia Street.

* A 29-year-old man was arrested for misdemeanor drug abuse and possession of a controlled substance at 7:25 p.m. July 24 in the 4800 block of Cemetery Road.

* A 26-year-old man was arrested for misdemeanor drug abuse at 7:30 p.m. July 25 in the 3900 block of Main Street.

* A 19-year-old woman was arrested for misdemeanor drug abuse at 11:25 a.m. July 27 in the 4000 block of Parkway Lane.

* A 53-year-old man was arrested for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor, at 2:45 p.m. July 27 in the 5000 block of Wyandot Place.
