Vehicles continue to be a popular target for thieves and vandals in the German Village area.
A $15,000 Ford Edge, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 5 from the 400 block of East Beck Street.
Among the items in the car when it was stolen were a $1,000 computer and $150 cellphone, according to Columbus Division of Police web reports.
A $15,000 Dodge Caravan, manufacturing date unknown, was stolen at 11 a.m. Aug. 7 from the corner of East Sycamore and South Pearl streets.
Someone broke out the right front window of a car between 2:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 600 block of Mohawk Street, causing an undetermined amount of damage.
Between midnight and 8 a.m. Aug. 4, CDs of an undetermined value and a $15 business-card holder and its contents were stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of East Beck Street.
The front window of a vehicle was damaged between 6 p.m. Aug. 4 and noon Aug. 5 in the 700 block of Mohawk Street. An estimated amount of damage was not available.
Between 1 and 5 a.m. Aug. 5 in the 200 block of Stewart Avenue, someone broke the front passenger window of a vehicle and ransacked the interior but did not steal anything. The amount of damage was not listed in the report.

* More than $1,000 worth of construction equipment was stolen between 9 p.m. Aug. 7 and 2:40 p.m. Aug. 8 from the 400 block of Reinhard Avenue.
The items stolen include a $250 grinder, $299 electric saw, $182 oscillator, $130 circular saw, $100 drill and $100 impact driver.
* More than $2,500 worth of equipment was stolen Aug. 4 from a store in the 600 block of South High Street.
Police responded to a burglar alarm at 6:30 a.m. When they arrived, they noticed the front door had been shattered.
The manager told police that three airless paint-sprayers, together worth $2,650, were stolen.
