An 18-year-old Columbus woman reportedly led Worthington Division of Police officers on a car chase with an open container in her vehicle.

A Worthington officer attempted to pull over the woman when she was observed driving without her lights activated at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 4 at Huntley and Schrock roads.

She allegedly did not stop, and officers lost her when she went through a closed railroad crossing. On the other side, other Worthington officers located the vehicle and the woman fled once more.

She eventually stopped her vehicle on Campus View Boulevard in Columbus, just north of Worthington.

The woman was charged with several moving violations in addition to failure to comply, underage possession of alcohol and driving with an open container.
