A Huntsville, Ohio, woman told police luggage-rack rails were stolen from her car while she was shopping at a local beauty salon.

The woman called Upper Arlington police to the 1600 block of West Lane Avenue at 5 p.m. Aug. 6.

She said she was in a salon at the Shops on Lane shopping center, and when she exited the store, she noticed the luggage rack rails were missing from her 2007 sport-utility vehicle.

Police reports said no witnesses could be found, and police have no suspects in the case.

In other recent Upper Arlington police reports:

* An Upper Arlington man reported he was doing yard work in the 1800 block of Glenn Avenue at 4 p.m. Aug. 15 when he walked to the front of the yard and saw two males steal a blower valued at $550 and a string trimmer valued at $300.

They were described as heavyset men in their late 20s with a number of tattoos.

* Employees at a Columbus landscape company reported two backpack blowers valued together at $900 were stolen from a job site on Cambridge Boulevard, address not provided, at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 10.

They also reported another blower, valued at $300, was stolen from a job site in the 2100 block of Waltham Road around the same time.

* Employees at a gas station in the 3600 block of Riverside Drive reported someone forced entry to the business between 1:13 and 1:15 a.m. Aug. 13 and stole $1,708 worth of merchandise.
