The Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce's yearlong celebration of 50 years begins to wrap up at this year's Evening of Elegance when the New Year's Eve ball drops Nov. 2 at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel, 409 Altair Parkway.

This New Year's-themed evening, the chamber's largest annual fundraiser, will include several innovative additions this year, including a custom menu and champagne toast.

Proceeds from the Evening of Elegance allow the chamber to plan many of its development events for its members and supports many of the community initiatives the chamber takes part in and partners with throughout the year.

Attendees at this year's event will not only enjoy stylish silent and live auctions; they will have opportunities to try a wine toss and purse raffle.

Don't worry men, gym bags and backpacks will be included with the purse raffle.

Enjoy all the excitement of Times Square and New Year's, minus the bitter breeze and long lines, at Evening of Elegance.

Registration is open through October.
