An Orange Township resident woke Oct. 1 to find someone had burglarized his home overnight, according to Delaware County Sheriff's Office reports.

The victim reported someone entered his home in the 8000 block of Cold Harbor Boulevard overnight Sept. 30 into Oct. 1.

The resident reported around $500 in cash and change missing, along with a water bottle.

According to reports, the unknown suspect entered the home through a garage door.

Sheriff's deputies are investigating the case and have listed a second-degree felony charge of burglary with another person present as a potential charge.

* Someone shoplifted 13 cartons of cigarettes from a Lewis Center convenience store.

According to reports, employees of the store in the 10300 block of Columbus Pike reported someone left the store with $700 worth of cigarettes under a coat the afternoon of Sept. 25.

* Someone broke into an unfinished home in the 4500 block of McAlister Park Drive and stole a furnace from the house.

According to reports, construction workers found the house had been burglarized Oct. 1 or 2 and noted the $2,000 furnace was missing.
