A Columbus woman reported she was assaulted in the 300 block of Case Avenue in Powell about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 9.

The confrontation was described by Stephen Hrytzik, deputy chief of police, as a potential "simple assault" and nothing more.

Hrytzik said the incident stemmed from a "disagreement between employees" and is being investigated.

In other recent Powell police reports:

* Police are investigating the reported theft of thousands of dollars worth of prepaid credit cards from a Powell home.

According to reports, the victim, who lives in the 500 block of Ridge View Court, reported $2,278 in prepaid cards missing the afternoon of Oct. 5.

Sheriff's reports

* A juvenile at Olentangy Liberty High School, 3584 Home Road, reported another student stole a piece of jewelry from her the afternoon of Oct. 4.

According to reports, a sheriff's deputy and school resource officer determined a crime occurred, but no charges were filed for the theft of the ring, which is valued at $60.

* A resident reported his car had been stolen from the 2600 block of Carmel Drive the night of Oct. 11 or the morning of Oct. 12.

The vehicle is valued at $65,000, reports said. The case is being investigated.
