Grove City police said a resident in the 3500 block of Gateway Lakes Drive reported Oct. 15 that several items were taken overnight from her unlocked car, parked in the lot at her apartment building.

The stolen items were a cellphone, purse, wallet and a pair of headphones, with a total value of $800, reports stated.

A debit card that was in the wallet was subsequently used to make $212 in purchases at a store and gas station in Grove City, according to reports.

In other recent Grove City police reports:

* A resident in the 2900 block of Parlin Drive reported an MP3 player and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from his car between 7 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7 a.m. Oct. 11. Total loss was $1,300, according to reports.

* A resident in the 2700 block of Independence Way told police Oct. 12 that two tablet computers, a chain saw and $60 in cash were stolen from her house. The woman said she believes the items may have been stolen by a relative who was staying between Sept. 8 and 18 at her home. Total loss was $1,450, reports stated.

* A resident in the 3600 block of Sterling Park Circle told police Oct. 16 that a cellphone, valued at $799, was stolen overnight from the center console of her unlocked car.
