Someone burglarized a home last week in the 9000 block of Lake Ridge Drive in Lewis Center.

According to reports, Delaware County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene the night of Oct. 26 after a resident returned home to find items missing from the house.

It was determined an unknown suspect broke a first-floor window to gain entry.

A handgun was stolen from the house, meaning deputies are treating the incident as a case of breaking and entering and theft of a firearm.

There are no suspects, according to reports.

In other recent county sheriff's reports:

* A resident of the 3800 block of Greensview Drive in Powell reported someone broke a window in an attempt to enter his home around 10 p.m. Oct. 21.

According to reports, the incident occurred between 9:55 and 9:58 p.m., and nothing was reported stolen. The unknown intruder did not enter the building, but sheriff's deputies responded to the scene.

* Sheriff's deputies last week investigated a broken window at a home on the 1100 block of Elderberry Loop.

According to reports, the window was broken Oct. 24. Nothing was reported missing.


* Two residential break-ins were reported to Powell police in the 9600 block of Cordona Loop between Oct. 13-15.

Equipment worth $4,000 was stolen from two different sheds, reports said.

* The final traffic-enforcement blitz was held for left turns made at the Four Corners intersection of Liberty Road and Olentangy Street between 4 and 7 p.m. Oct. 10. Nine drivers were cited for making illegal left turns, according to reports.
