I am excited to join Jackson Township as its new township administrator.

I am most eager to forge new relationships within the organization and the community. The best part of my job is the people I get to meet and work with along the way.

I look forward to jumping into all aspects of the community from the perspective of Jackson Township's new administrator.

Townships are an Ohio form of government governed by three trustees and one fiscal officer, and each elected official serves a four-year term.

Jackson Township has nearly 120 employees, with a majority of them providing emergency medical and fire service. Jackson Township also provides maintenance on township roads, zoning administration for the unincorporated area and maintenance of six cemeteries.

My goals as administrator are to oversee the daily operations of the township; be visible in the community; responsibly manage the township's $20 million annual operating budget; assess and improve on the long-term financial condition of the township; manage the township's zoning code, permits and enforcement; and address all personnel management issues.

Jackson Township, Grove City and southwest Franklin County have seen and continues to see unprecedented growth. I look forward to working with all local and state officials to ensure Jackson Township ideally is positioned to serve our community now and into the future as population growth occurs.

I look forward to assisting the community now and into the future. I can be reached at farnsworths@jacksontwp.org or 614-991-6881.
