Bexley police said a resident in the 200 block of South Columbia Avenue reported someone attempted to call his bank on Nov. 7 and transfer funds from his account.
He said a bank employee contacted him and he denied the transfer. His bank has already begun the process of changing the account numbers to secure his funds, according to reports.
The resident stated he does not know how anyone could obtain his information.
In other recent reports from the Bexley Police Department, an employee of a business in the 2700 block of East Main Street reported someone forced entry to the front door of his office on Nov. 6. Nothing was reported missing.
