A Newark woman at 4:15 p.m. Nov. 30 told the New Albany Police Department someone gave her fake money for jewelry sold for $1,500 through a Craigslist ad. The case address was reported as being in the 7300 block of Smith's Mill Road. No other details were available.

In other recent New Albany police incidents:

* A Lambton Park Road resident at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 1 told police someone used his identity to open three credit-card accounts, two checking accounts and two savings accounts.

* An officer at 8:44 p.m. Nov. 28 conducted a traffic stop at Central College and New Albany-Condit roads and found narcotics in the vehicle, but no one has been charged.

* Two trash cans valued at $204 were reported stolen at 10:49 a.m. Nov. 27 from the first block of Ealy Crossing North.
