Upper Arlington City Council unanimously approved a new contract Dec. 10 with Upper Arlington Police Division officers represented by Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge No. 9.
The three-year deal stipulates officers will receive 3.25 percent raises in 2019 and 2020. They’ll receive 3 percent raises in 2021.
The contract covers 53 officers and will replace a three-year deal council approved in September 2015 that provided 2.75 percent raises to officers in the union in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
According to a Dec. 10 staff report to council from Assistant City Manager Dan Ralley and City Attorney Jeanine Hummer, the cumulative increase for the three-year contract is approximately $669,000.
A representative of FOP Capital City Lodge No. 9 did not return a call or emails seeking comment Dec. 12.
