Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

Holiday Crafts, 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 22 and 23 at the Nature Center. Guests can create seasonal crafts with materials found in nature.

Full Moon Hike, 5 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Ranger Station. Guests can take a brisk, moonlit 4-mile hike through fields and forests.

Sunset Bison Walk, 4:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at the Nature Center. Guests can watch the sunset and locate the bison in their winter pasture.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Holiday Crafts, noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Nature Center. Guests can make holiday-themed crafts.

Upcycled Gift Wrapping, 3 p.m. Dec. 23 at the Nature Center. Guests can try out new gift-wrapping ideas while giving old items a new use.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Westerville

Canine Hike, 5:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Nature Center. Guests can take a 1.5-mile hike to look and listen for Ohio's native canines.

Full Cold Moon Hike, 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Nature Center. Guests can hike 2 miles by the light of the last full moon of the year.

Winter Break Scavenger Hunt, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 22-31 at the Nature Center. Guests can see how many hidden critters they can find.

Family Fun: Feed the Birds, noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 27 at the Nature Center. Guests can make a treat for birds.

Highbanks Metro Park

9466 U.S. Route 23 N., Lewis Center

Howl at the Moon, 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Nature Center. Guests can bring a canine friend for a 3.5-mile hike.

Movie Matinee Nature Cat and Winter Solstice, 11 a.m. Dec. 21. Guests can learn about the winter solstice and watched "Nature Cat: Winter Dance Party."

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

Pre-K Storytime, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, 505 W. Whittier St. Bring little ones for a nature-inspired story or two.

Weekly Bird Hikes, 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests will learn how to use binoculars and search for birds.

Winter Warm-Up Days, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 27 and 28 at the Grange Insurance Audubon. Guests can participate in crafts, games, stories, movies and songs by the fire.

Sharon Woods Metro Park

6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville

Fast-Paced Adult Full Moon Hike, 5:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Apple Ridge Bulletin Board. Guests can take a fast-paced 2.8-mile hike along gravel, paved and natural surfaces.

Lantern Stroll, 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Schrock Lake Restrooms. Candle lanterns will light the way on a 1-mile stroll through the woods.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

'Tis the Season, 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Farmhouse. Guests can take a quiet stroll around the farm, string popcorn and make an ornament to take home.
