The Clintonville Area Commission's first two meetings of 2019 will be held in an unfamiliar setting.

The sessions scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 3 and Feb. 7 will take place at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 35 E. Stanton Ave., instead of the Whetstone branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the typical venue.

CAC Chairwoman Libby Wetherholt made the announcement of the venue change at the Dec. 6 meeting, noting with some chagrin that by the time she sought to make the annual reservation of the meeting space for the first Thursday evening of the month during the coming year, other groups already had snapped up the January and February slots.

She did say the reservations had been made for the CAC's sessions from March on.

"We are signed up for the rest of the year," Wetherholt said.

A spokesman for the library said a change in personnel disrupted the normally routine reservation of the space for the CAC's meetings.

"It appears that our last two branch managers had been booking the meeting room for the CAC meetings as a courtesy for the commission," said Ben Zenitsky, a spokesman for the library. "However, due to some recent internal shuffling among our manager-level staff, Whetstone currently has an interim branch manager and the courtesy booking for the CAC was missed."
