The Reynoldsburg Board of Education held its annual reorganizational meeting for the year Jan. 15 but made no leadership changes.

Members unanimously elected Joe Begeny to serve another term as president and chose Debbie Dunlap to continue as vice president.

Both served in the respective positions in 2018.

"It is a privilege and an honor to serve in this capacity. While I may be the president, the reality is, I cannot do this job alone. The five (board) members up here contribute more than people realize," Begeny said.

Board members also approved the district's academic calendar for the 2019-20 school year, which calls for classes to start Aug. 19. The last day of the school year will be May 28, 2020. Winter break is slated for Dec. 23, 2019 to Jan. 3, 2020, with spring break planned for March 23-27, 2020.

Regular school board meetings are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month in City Council chambers at the Reynoldsburg Municipal Building, 7232 E. Main St.
