An arctic blast put the chill on the Clintonville Woman's Club's Chili Cook Off.
The annual event was scheduled for Jan. 20, but several inches of snow followed by frigid temperatures forced cancellation.
The 2019 Chili Cook Off now is set from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 17 at the club, 3951 N. High St., said organizer Kate Blakeslee.
Most of the groups scheduled to participate on the original date will be able to prepare their fare for the new one, Blakeslee said. These include the new all-girl Troop 74, which will become an official member of the renamed Scouts BSA as of Feb. 1; Civitan Club of North Columbus; Clintonville Area Commission; Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center; Clintonville Historical Society; Mahjongg Mavens of the Clintonville Woman's Club; and Northern Kiwanis of Columbus.
Admission is $10.
That includes tickets to taste all entries, free beverages and a ballot to vote for the favorite chili.
Bowls of chili along with hot dogs and desserts will be available for purchase separately.
