Someone forcibly entered and burglarized a Liberty Township restaurant as January came to an end.

According to reports, Delaware County Sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the restaurant in the 3900 block of Presidential Parkway around 10:45 p.m. Jan. 31.

Reports indicate someone smashed glass doors to gain entry, then stole a cash-register drawer and two-liter bottles of soda.

No suspects are listed in the case, but potential charges include breaking and entering, safecracking, possessing criminal tools, theft and vandalism.

* Someone reportedly broke into an Orange Township construction site last week, causing damage and stealing copper wires.

According to reports, the incident at the site in the 7300 block of Gooding Boulevard was reported the morning of Feb. 5.

Responding sheriff's deputies reported about $150 worth of copper wiring was stolen, but listed more than $17,000 in damages to "completed work" at the site.


* A Powell woman reported an identity theft that led to thousands of dollars in additional theft.

According to reports, the woman called police about the incident Feb. 2.

By that point, someone had reportedly used her identity to open two different wireless plans, one for more than $3,200 and another for more than $2,400.

Reports indicate the woman eventually discovered other fraudulent charges, and that her total losses are "much higher" than the amounts of the two plans.
