Three burglaries were reported Feb. 10 in New Albany, and investigators believe two of them are related, according to New Albany Police Department clerk Lauren Johnson.
The first burglary was reported at 7:06 a.m. at a residence on the 7400 block of Britts Bend Way West, according to police reports, and a male dressed in a camouflage jacket was observed attempting to gain entry through the residence's back door.
Investigators believe a second burglary, reported at 1:03 p.m. at a residence on the 7200 block of Landon Lane, is related to the first, according to Johnson. A person also was reported to have forced his or her way into the residence, but nothing was reported stolen, she said.
The last burglary was reported at 3:28 p.m. at a residence on the 7400 block of Skarlocken Green, and entry also was attempted through the residence's back door.
In other recent New Albany police incident reports:
* A 50-year-old New Albany man was arrested for a Union County traffic-offense warrant and a 32-year-old Middletown woman was cited for drug paraphernalia, drug abuse and controlled-substance possession or use after a traffic stop at 8:17 p.m. Feb. 9 at Johnstown and Central College roads.
* A 37-year-old Columbus woman was cited for illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 9 at Johnstown and Clouse roads.
* A 20-year-old Columbus man was cited for drug paraphernalia, drug abuse and controlled-substance possession or use after a traffic stop at 7:52 p.m. Feb. 5 at Yantis Drive and Ogden Woods Boulevard.
* A Sedgwick Drive resident at 8:59 a.m. Feb. 4 reported identity theft.
