A Worthington man said a woman threw a stick at him at 8 a.m. Feb. 11 in the 6000 block of Shadow Lake Circle after he declined to take her dog for a walk.
The man, who said he does not live at the address, told the responding officer he was using a computer when the woman "yelled at him to take her dog out," the report stated.
"When he refused to take her dog outside, she came out from under the covers of her bed, picked up a stick and threw it at victim one," the officer wrote.
"Victim one stated the stick struck him on his hand which did not cause any mark or injury. Victim one stated he gathered his property, called the police and left her residence."
In other recent Columbus Division of Police incident reports from northwest Columbus:
* A woman said her intoxicated roommate assaulted her in the 5500 block of Picayune Street at 10 p.m. Feb. 13.
The victim said her attacker began having an argument with her over a note that the suspect left on the victim's room door about shutting the lights off in the apartment, the report indicated.
"The victim stated the suspect began screaming at her, and when trying to walk back into her bedroom, the suspect punched the victim over 12 times in the face, as well as pushing her into the bedroom furniture, and pulling the victim's hair out."
* An awning valued at $5,000, a $1,000 sink and outdoor lighting fixtures worth $2,000 were reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 12 from a business in the 5900 block of Britton Parkway.
The person filing the complaint said the items were removed by someone who threw a brick through a rear window between noon Feb. 2 and noon the following day.
* A 47-year-old man was charged with obstructing official business at 7:55 p.m. Feb. 11 after allegedly refusing to provide his personal information and walking away during an investigation of a domestic-violence incident in the 5500 block of Kennylane Boulevard.
