Satori Ramen Bar, a new startup restaurant concept, soon will join the North Market.

The restaurant, which is expected to open in the spring, will move into the vacant stall at the southwest corner of North Market’s main floor, adjacent to Dos Hermanos and Omega Artisan Baking, according to a news release sent Feb. 18 from the North Market, 59 Spruce St. in Columbus.

Satori founder and head chef Seigo Nishimura was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He was trained in traditional Japanese culinary techniques and worked in a Michelin Star-rated restaurant in New York’s East Village. Nishimura also is a graduate of the Tokyo Sushi Academy.

In addition to eat-in and ready-to-eat takeout, Satori Ramen Bar will offer 'finish at home' kits with broth, toppings and uncooked fresh noodles, packaged separately.
