Reynoldsburg City Council’s agenda for its Feb. 25 meeting includes an emergency ordinance authorizing Mayor Brad McCloud to enter into an agreement with Media Promotion Enterprises for the 2019 Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival.
Parks and Recreation Department director Donna Bauman has said the contract is expected to be for $41,000. After a year off, the Tomato Festival will return Aug. 8-10 in a revamped form that will include as-yet-unidentified musical acts and the return of amusement rides.
MPE Entertainment, based in West Virginia, has worked with other Ohio events, including the Obetz ZucchiniFest and the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival.
The City Council meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 7232 E. Main St.
