It’s official: Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is adding two more restaurants in the Short North.
Del Mar SoCal Kitchen and Lincoln Social Rooftop, at 705 and 711 N. High St. respectively, are expected to open in April in the Lincoln building, at the site of a former parking lot.
Although it’s still in development, Del Mar will be a full-service restaurant, offering California-inspired dishes and cocktails, according to a Feb. 25 news release from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.
The restaurant pays homage to a southern California kitchen by focusing on freshness and using only the best fare from the farm, garden and sea, the release said. The dinner-only restaurant also will have a heavy focus on vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Lincoln Social Rooftop will be atop the Lincoln building.
With a retractable roof and a fire pit, the rooftop locale will offer sweeping city views, hand-crafted cocktails and creative fare, the news release said.
Cameron Mitchell had filed documents with the city late last year, indicating its intention to build two restaurants in those North High Street storefronts, but the concepts and names – DelMar and Montauk – were subject to change, a company spokeswoman said at the time.
The restaurant group currently operates Guild House, the Pearl, Marcella’s, Martini Modern Italian and Harvey & Ed’s in the Short North.
