Grandview Heights police officers were dispatched at 6:13 a.m. Feb. 20 to the area of Hope and Inglis avenues on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was attempted at West First Avenue and Oxley Road, according to reports. However, the driver failed to stop and fled from officers, reports said.
A short time later, two residents of the 1300 block of Inglis Avenue reported overnight thefts from cars parked inside their garages.
The first resident said about $5 in change was taken from her car.
The second resident told police about $30 in change was stolen from her vehicle.
In other recent Grandview police reports:
* While on patrol Feb. 13, an officer discovered the driver's-side window was broken out on a vehicle parked in a garage in the 800 block of Bobcat Avenue. A small amount of change and a checkbook were stolen from the car, reports said.
* A woman reported her wallet containing several credit cards was stolen from an unlocked locker at a business in the 800 block of Goodale Boulevard. The woman said the theft occurred between 1 and 2 p.m. Feb. 18.
