Cigarettes are not getting any cheaper but an alleged thief might discover how expensive a nicotine habit truly can be if the Hilliard Division of Police can identify him.

Investigators are trying to identify a man who allegedly stole two cartons of cigarettes worth $150 at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 15 from United Dairy Farmers, 4640 Cemetery Road in Hilliard.

He was about 20 to 30 years old with a short beard and was last seen wearing glasses, a green hooded sweatshirt and black pants, according to police.

He fled in a vehicle described as a silver late-model, four-door Chrysler sedan.

Anyone who can identify the man is asked to call officer Maggie Reed at 614-334-2442 or send an email to mreed@hilliardohio.gov.
