A woman told Columbus police she was threatened by a man after she chastised him for feeding deer and littering in the 200 block of Walhalla Road at 5:23 p.m. March 6.

The woman said the man threw bread at her and threatened to shoot her, according to reports.

The responding officer listed the incident as aggravated menacing.

In other recent Clintonville-area police reports:

* A Clintonville man told police at 12:10 p.m. March 6 that a person he hired to fix the brakes on his vehicle had so far failed to return it.

The man's car is valued at $6,000, according to the victim, who said the alleged repairman "keeps giving excuses on why it has not been returned."

The suspect had agreed to give the vehicle back to the owner Feb. 13, according to the responding officer, but failed to show up for the appointment.

The incident took place in the 4400 block of Indianola Avenue, reports said.

* A woman who lives in the first block of West Pacemont Road contacted police at 11:30 p.m. March 4 after reportedly receiving threats on social-media sites from a former co-worker.

The Clintonville woman has moved on to another job, while the suspect was fired, according to reports.

"It appeared the threats were incoherent and seemed to circle around job-related issues," the reporting officer noted.
