Grandview Heights police officers responded at 10:05 p.m. Feb. 28 to a residence in the 1200 block of Broadview Avenue on a report of a burglary in progress.
When they arrived, officers entered the home and found a 29-year-old Grandview man in the living room, according to reports.
The man reportedly resisted arrest, but officers were able to gain control and take him into custody.
He was taken to Grant Medical Center after requesting medical treatment for injuries sustained in the scuffle with police, reports said.
The man was charged the next day with burglary, possession of drugs and resisting arrest.

* A resident of the 800 block of Northwest Boulevard reported Feb. 28 several items of clothing were stolen Feb. 8 from his home.
The victim said the theft was committed by tenants who had used an online service to rent the home.
The man said he discovered the theft after the tenants were evicted and did not want to file charges.
The total value of the stolen items is $1,783, reports said.
* A resident of the 1000 block of Urlin Avenue reported March 2 the catalytic converters were stolen from his car.
The man said he parked his car around 10:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and when he returned to the vehicle the next morning, he heard a strange noise after starting the car. He took the vehicle to a repair shop and found out the catalytic converters had been stolen, reports said.
* A woman reported her car stereo was stolen March 4 while she was at work at an office in the 1000 block of Yard Street. Entry to the car was gained by smashing a window, reports said.
The car stereo is valued at $400, according to reports.
