Westerville's annual State of the Community will combine two annual events March 21.
The State of Community will be combined with the city's annual volunteers dinner that celebrates volunteer participation within the city, said Erica Charles, community affairs specialist for Westerville.
Held at the Point at Otterbein University, 60 Collegeview Road, the event will feature a video from the city and community partners such as the Westerville City School District, Westerville Public Library, Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce and Otterbein.
The video will highlight accomplishments from each organization, according to a release from the city.
"For example, Otterbein's highlights include President John Comerford joining our campus; the new partnership with JPMorgan Chase at The Point; completion of the final phase of construction at The Point; creation of the Opportunity Scholarship, a new statewide full-need based scholarship; and the completion of our Where We STAND Matters campaign," said Jenny Hill, director of communications at Otterbein University.
Hill said about 250 people are expected at the reception and the hors d'oeuvres, drinks and dessert will be themed around the five partners.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and is family-friendly, Hill said.
