German Village's Art Crawl will be on hiatus this year as its organizers regroup.

Greg Gamier and Jeff Lowe, co-chairmen of the German Village Business Community, which presented the event, said they are handing it off to another organizer.

The new organizer, local financial planner Jessica Holland, will need the next year to plan, Lowe told the German Village Society board of trustees March 12.

The Art Crawl, held each July on Macon Alley, included up to 30 artists, live music and snacks and beverages from local restaurants and breweries.

Chelsey Craig, manager of business relations and events for the society, told the trustees, “This wasn’t an easy decision, as all of you know."
