Westerville police said an unknown suspect instructed an employee of a business in the 700 block of North State Street to wire $600 from the store's accounts at 8:45 p.m. Feb. 26.

According to reports, the employee said the suspect stated he was an employee of the corporate office for the business and gave her specific instructions on how to wire the money. She told her manager and he instructed her to contact police.

The incident is under investigation, and no suspects have been identified.

* A Westerville resident reported a suspicious person at 7:33 a.m. Feb. 26 at the intersection of Worthington Road and Vesper Way. The resident said the person was staring at children getting on the school bus and extending his arms out toward them, according to the report. The children were found safe and on the school bus and no further action was taken by police.

* An employee of a store reported at 10:59 p.m. Feb. 22 that an unknown suspect stole $392.37 worth of crab legs and lobster tails from a store in the 100 block of Polaris Parkway. The suspect has not been identified, but employees of the store noted that the same man reportedly had been committing similar thefts at other locations around Columbus.
