The restaurant space that briefly was Harvest Tavern & Pizzeria in Grandview Heights is being rebranded as the Old Spot, 1099 W. First Ave.

The new restaurant, whose menu is being fine-tuned, will specialize in familiar homemade fare, said investor Tony Tanner, owner of the nearby Butcher & Grocer at 1089 W. First Ave.

“Needless to say, it will be approachable and delicious,” Tanner said.

He said he hopes to have the new concept open “by patio season.”

Tanner and Matt Evans, both investors in Harvest Tavern & Pizzeria, will include restaurateurs Rick and Krista Lopez of La Tavola and Lupo in the new partnership.

The Old Spot is named after the Gloucestershire Old Spots pigs, which are known for being proficient foragers and grazers, Tanner said.

Harvest Tavern & Pizzeria opened in August and closed Feb. 23.
