Grove City Council will consider a resolution at its Monday, March 18, meeting to establish a Citizen Financial Review Task Force.
The task force was one of the goals council members and city administrators set for 2019 at their annual retreat in February.
Fifteen residents would be appointed to the task force, according to the proposal. City council and the mayor would select the appointees.
The citizens group would be asked to review the city’s operating expenditures; determine the long range impact of changes to the city’s revenue stream and how that may impact operating and capital improvement budgets; assess potential options for enhancing city revenue; and identify and prioritize short-term and long-term capital needs.
The task force would report its findings and recommendations within 180 days of its first meeting.
The council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 4035 Broadway.
