Hilliard Mayor Don Schonhardt will deliver his 16th and final State of the City address at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Hilliard Municipal Building, 3800 Municipal Way.

The address will be streamed live at hilliardoh.iqm2.com/Citizens/Media.aspx.

Schonhardt is in the final year of his fourth term as mayor. In November, residents voted on a charter amendment to change the form of government from a strong mayor to a city manager, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

Schonhardt said his final address would unveil city initiatives and look back at past successes during his tenure as mayor.

"We have a great deal to celebrate as a municipality and as a community," Schonhardt said. "The State of the City is our annual opportunity to look back on our progress, take a snapshot of the community as it is today and make projections about our continued success."

Highlights of the address will include the city's 2018 financial report and updates on economic development in Hilliard, said city communications director David Ball.
