A Powell woman called police after discovering her house had been burglarized March 15.

According to reports, the 38-year-old resident of the 200 block of Elmendorf Place called police about 10:30 p.m. to report that someone had broken into her house sometime over the previous 36 hours.

She reported that $6,500 in belongings were missing, including jewelry, accessories and cash.

Reports indicate that someone broke in through a second-floor window and wore gloves to conceal fingerprints.

According to reports, police have not identified a suspect in the case but took hair samples, foot impressions and other evidence from the scene.

* A 26-year-old Dublin man was arrested after allegedly breaking into the home of an 80-year-old Powell woman.

According to reports, the woman called police about 3 p.m. March 22 to report a burglary from about 1 p.m. at her residence in the 200 block of Thornbury Lane.

Reports say that nothing was stolen and do not indicate how the man was arrested. But the man was taken into custody moments after the call and was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and violation of a protection order.

He was transported to the Delaware County Jail.

* A bar on the first block of West Olentangy Street reported that a theft occurred at the establishment after midnight on March 9.

According to reports, someone from the bar called police about 2:30 a.m. to report a theft. Only $2 in value was reported missing, and no one was arrested or charged.
