A semitrailer exiting Interstate 270 northbound at Cemetery Road in Hilliard struck multiple vehicles on Cemetery before 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, according to the Hilliard Division of Police Twitter account.

Five people had serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals, the Twitter account said. One woman has died as a result of the crash, two people remained hospitalized as of Tuesday evening and two have been treated and released, according to the Twitter account.

Cemetery Road was closed at Trueman Boulevard to the I-270 ramps for several hours, and the northbound I-270 ramp to Fishinger Road also was closed.

All lanes had been reopened just after 11:30 p.m., according to the Twitter account.
