Networking is a skill that does not always come naturally to business professionals.

One of the strengths of the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce is the variety of low-risk networking events offered to develop and even perfect networking skills.

According to the 2019 Annual Chamber Membership Survey, 75 percent of respondents said chamber networking opportunities were the benefits they used most. Additionally, the survey indicated 81 percent of respondents reported they most value networking from their chamber membership.

Examples of the networking opportunities range from monthly Business After Hours or Lunch and Learns, with 20 to 70 people in attendance, to larger annual events with hundreds in attendance.

The different types of chamber networking experiences are offered on various days and times so members can attend what works best for them.

The spring season will bring the community several networking events.

First, we have Uptown Hop on Friday, April 5. Grab your friends and join the Westerville Young Professionals Network as we are looking forward to hoppin' through the Uptown area.

Next will be the April Business After Hours on April 18 hosted by First Commonwealth Bank.

Finally, we have Taste of Westerville on May 2 where you can experience the most delicious culinary offerings from our Westerville Area Chamber members. All these events are examples of opportunities for professionals to make new business connections and-or be reacquainted with other business representatives in a casual environment.

Here is another statistic: 67 percent of the survey respondents believe the chamber has had an effect on the success of their business. Check out the chamber event page to find your next opportunity to make a meaningful business contact. Remember it is good business to do business with chamber members.
