The Golden Bear Shred Day/Food & Clothing Drive is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Upper Arlington High School, 1650 Ridgeview Road.

Proceeds help support the Upper Arlington High School Parent-Teacher Organization.

The drive-thru format will allow residents to drop off personal and confidential documents and document e-waste to be shredded or destroyed and also to donate nonperishable food items for the Heart to Heart Food Pantry.

Donations of gently used clothing, household linens, new socks and underwear and personal hygiene products will also be accepted to support Goodwill.

In addition, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore will accept donations of new and used appliances, household goods and building materials.

The suggested price for cash donations for document shredding is $5 per box; there is a limit of five boxes per vehicle.

CRT televisions and monitors will no longer be accepted, but all other electronics are welcome.

The drive-through will be located at the school's south parking lot on Ridgeview Road.

The event will go on, rain or shine, but in case of rain, the event will be held at the covered north parking lot by the cafeteria entrance.

The Golden Bear Shred Day/Food & Clothing Drive is sponsored by Hyre Personal Wealth Advisors and Herb Gillen Advertising.
