A Powell resident reported her home in the 6900 block of Kinsale Lane was burglarized March 16 or 17.

The woman reported the incident to Delaware County Sheriff's Office deputies at 4:15 p.m. March 17, saying the break-in occurred between the two afternoons.

Reports indicate a first-floor window was broken to gain entry into the house, and it said the suspect likely was familiar with the premises.

More than $400 in property, mostly clothing and shoes, was reported missing.

In other recent county sheriff's reports:

* A 17-year-old Columbus boy was arrested for stealing a motorcycle valued around $10,000 from a dealership in the 5800 block of Columbus Pike.

According to reports, the theft occurred between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. March 21.

The boy was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, and unruly juvenile offenses, a misdemeanor.

* A Delaware woman reported someone broke into her vehicle while it was parked on the 3900 block of Hollenback Drive.

According to reports, the woman told sheriff's deputies the theft occurred between 12:30 and 1:15 p.m. March 11.

She said a purse, jewelry, a credit card and other items missing.

* A 17-year-old Olentangy Liberty High School student was identified as a suspect but not charged after allegedly damaging grass near the school, 3584 Home Road.

Reports do not indicate how the grass was damaged, but school officials called at 10:45 a.m. March 13 to report an incident that morning that resulted in $350 worth of damage.

Deputies spoke with the student in a case identified as criminal mischief, but no charges were filed and the situation will be handled by the school, reports said.
