Following are Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District programs for April 11-18.

Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park

1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway

Photo Group: Enhanced Color-to-Black and White Conversion, 10 a.m. April 13 at the Nature Center. Guests can learn new techniques that produce high-quality, high-impact black and white images.

Yoga in the Park, 11:30 a.m. April 13 at the Ranger Station. Guests can learn movements in an outdoor setting to help rejuvenate mind and body.

Coffee and Composting, 1 p.m. April 14 at the Nature Center. Visitors can drink coffee while learning about the process of composting and the different ways people can set up composting systems.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Fungus Display, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 13 and 14 at the Nature Center. Guests can learn what fungus can be found in the park, and the history and uses for the diverse group.

Stop, Hummer Time, 2 p.m. April 14 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 16 and older can learn about the life history of hummingbirds and tips to attract them to yards.

After School: Archery and Atlatls, 3 to 5 p.m. April 17 at Sassafras. Visitors ages 8-15 can learn to shoot a compound bow and try an atlatl.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 E. Dublin Granville Road, Westerville

Earth Day Cleanup, 10 a.m. April 13 at the Nature Center. Guests can help pull invasive plants and pick up litter on- and off-trail. Register at earthdaycolumbus.org.

Uses of Plants, 2 p.m. April 13 at the Nature Center. Guests can learn how Native Americans used various plants while they participate in a 2-mile hike.

Wildflower Hike, 2 p.m. April 14 at the Nature Center. Guests can take a 2-mile walk to see beautiful blooms.

Metro Five-0: Level 4 Park Tour: Blendon Ravines, 10 a.m. to noon April 16 at the Blendon Ravines. Guests ages 50 and older can join Metro Parks' director Tim Moloney for a hike on the newly acquired area near Blendon Woods. This is a rugged, off-trail hike. Guests should be prepared to climb up and down steep hills and ravines.

Egg Display, 1 to 4 p.m. April 17-21 at the Nature Center. Guests can explore the stunning array of bird egg sizes and colors.

Preschool: Wormology, 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 18 and 19 at the Nature Center. Plan to get a little dirty while digging into the lives of worms and other soil creatures.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

9801 Hyland Croy Road, Plain City

Woodcock Watch, 8 p.m. April 12 at the Shelter House. Guests can take a 1-mile hike and search for this bird as it performs its aerial courtship dance.

Walk and Woof, 7 p.m. April 17 at the Glacier Ridge Dog Park. Guests can enjoy a 2.5-mile hike with their dog.

Highbanks Metro Park

Preschool: Birds, 9:30 and 11 a.m. April 11 at the Nature Center. Children ages 3-5 can learn about feathered friends through crafts, stories and other activities.

Woodcock Watch, 8 p.m. April 13 at the Nature Center. Guests ages 10 and older can take a short hike to check out the woodcock's aerial courtship dance.

Storytime: Fungus, 10 to 10:30 a.m. April 15 at the Nature Center. Children ages 2-6 can hear stories about fungus then go on a short hike.

Inniswood Metro Gardens

940 S. Hempstead Road, Westerville

Meet the Artist, 2 to 4 p.m. April 14 at the Innis House. Guests can view the pressed flower artwork of Antonia Bojanina at a reception.

Evening Garden Walk, 6 p.m. April 14 at the Gardens Entrance. Visitors can take a relaxing stroll through the gardens.

Rocky Fork Metro Park

7180 Walnut St., Westerville

Pups and Peeps Egg Hunt, 1 p.m. April 13 at the Rocky Fork Bulletin Board. Guests can bring their dogs so they can search for eggs.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

Preschool Storytime, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon. Guests can bring little ones for a nature-inspired story or two.

Weekly Bird Hike, 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. Guests can search for birds in the park.

Late Nights at the Climbing Wall, 8 p.m. to midnight April 12 at the Climbing Wall. The climbing wall will stay open until midnight every second and fourth Friday of the month from April through October. The park will provide four auto-belays, but guests should bring their own climbing harness.

Sharon Woods Metro Park

6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville

Earth Day Cleanup, 2 p.m. April 13 at the Schrock Lake Picnic Shelter. Guests can pull invasive plants and pick up litter on- and off-trail and around waterways. To register, visit earthdaycolumbus.org.

Natural Play Area Adventures: Fairy, Elf and Bug Houses, 2 p.m. April 14 at the Natural Play Area. Guests can help pull invasive plants and gather natural items to build a house for their favorite forest creature.

Fast-Paced Adult Full Moon Hike, 8:30 p.m. April 18 at the Apple Ridge Bulletin Board. Guests ages 18 and older can take a fast-paced 2.8-mile hike along gravel, paved and natural surface trails.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

Sheep on the Farm, 1 to 3 p.m. April 14 at the Farmhouse. Guests can watch sheep shearing, meet the lambs and learn about the uses of wool.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Frog Frenzy, 8 p.m. April 12 and 13 at the Confluence Area. Guests can bring a flashlight and wading shoes to search for frogs in the ponds and listen to their meeting calls.

Preschoolers: Awesome Amphibians, 10 a.m. April 16 and 18 at the Confluence Area. Guests can discover frogs, toads and salamanders through stories and fun activities.

Homeschoolers: All About Amphibians, 1 p.m. April 16 at the Confluence Area. Students ages 6-17 can explore the edge of a wetland and learn about frogs, toads and other cold-blooded animals.
