A resident of the 1300 block of Cambridge Boulevard told Grandview Heights police May 2 that he received a typed letter in the mail threatening to expose his "secret" unless he sent $21,000 to the sender's Bitcoin address.

Further investigation revealed that over the past year, the scam letter has been sent to men in various locations across the country, reports said.

The letter was forwarded to the detective bureau for further analysis and a complaint was filed through the United States Postal Inspector's website, according to reports.
