Lewis Center residents can get their local fireworks fix at this weekend's Olentangy Summer Bash.

Festivities begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Olentangy High School, 675 Lewis Center Road, with live music, food trucks and a family fun zone. 

Columbus band Truslow will highlight the musical slate, playing at 8 p.m. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.

Admission is free.

The fun continues Thursday, July 4, with the Freedom 4-Miler, a charity run/walk benefiting Honor Flight at 8 a.m. beginning at Olentangy Orange High School, 2840 E. Orange Road.

Registration for the $30 run or the $10 "liberty lap" for children can be completed at racepenguin.com/events/freedom4miler.

After the race, the Fourth of July parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at Orange High School.

The parade will leave the school and head east to Walker Wood Boulevard, where it runs south to Walker Woods Park for its conclusion.
