Gahanna police responded after a customer asked an employee at a business on West Johnstown Road to call officers because of someone in his vehicle, according to a report received at 3:17 p.m. July 4.

The man had filled his vehicle with gasoline and proceeded to break up with his girlfriend, reports said.

He asked her to get out of the vehicle, and he wouldn't leave until she did, reports said.

She was given a ride to her mother's residence, according to police. She stated she and the vehicle's owner were homeless and living out of the vehicle, reports said.

* A fight between five to six men broke out in a parking lot in the 600 block of Taylor Road, according to a report received at 10:27 p.m. July 9. No weapons were seen. The participants stopped assaulting each other and began arguing, reports said. No medics were needed, according to reports.

* Two vehicles were broken into on Vista Drive sometime between the night of July 6 and 8 a.m. July 7, according to a report received at 3:22 p.m. July 8.

* A generator and tools were reported stolen from a trailer on Taylor Road over the weekend of July 6 and 7, according to a report received at 10:50 a.m. July 8.

* Two men were dealing with a capsized canoe at Woodside Green Park, 213 Camrose Court, according to a report received at 2:59 p.m. July 7. One man was at the park and another was down river and it was unknown if he was OK. It was later determined everyone was out of the water and fine, according to reports. Mifflin Township first-responders advised they spoke to the men, who said the canoe was damaged and continued downstream. No color description of the canoe was provided, reports said.

* A phone charger was stolen overnight from a vehicle on Vista Drive, according to a report received at 9:30 a.m. July 7.

* A vehicle was rummaged through overnight on Rice Avenue, according to a report received at 7:31 a.m. July 6. It was unknown if anything was taken or if the vehicle was locked, reports said.

* Two vehicles were broken into overnight on Ashley Court, according to a report received at 8:56 a.m. July 6.

* A vehicle was rummaged through overnight on Caroway Boulevard but nothing was stolen, according to a report received at 9:09 a.m. July 6.

* A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle July 6 on Cloverly Drive, according to a report received at 10:52 a.m. July 6.

* An unlocked truck was rummaged through overnight on Greythorne Place, according to a report received at 11:19 a.m. July 6. Nothing of value was taken, reports said.

* Items were stolen from a recreational vehicle at an Agler Road business, according to a report received at 11:38 a.m. July 6. The theft occurred sometime within the last month, reports said.

* A Caroway Boulevard resident reported both of his vehicles were left unlocked overnight and rummaged through, according to a report received at 3:21 p.m. July 6. Nothing was taken, reports said.

* A vehicle was rummaged through in the 200 block of Glenhurst Court, according to a report received at 11:38 a.m. July 5.

* A Palace Lane resident reported a juvenile threw a nearly full plastic bottle of soda into her yard, according to a report received at 9:17 p.m. July 3. She said the juvenile threw the bottle because she said something unkind to him. Police spoke to his mother about having him stay away from the property, reports said.

* An Oklahoma Avenue resident visited police headquarters because someone placed dog feces on her porch overnight, according to a report received at 3:34 p.m. July 3. Extra patrol has been requested, according to reports.

* A homeless man was seen sleeping at the door of Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Road, according to a report received at 7:57 a.m. July 3.

* A motorist was driving aimlessly along Belcross Drive and Morse Road, according to a suspicious vehicle report received at 3:14 a.m. July 3. Police had previous contact for similar actions. It was determined the motorist was playing Pokemon Go, according to reports.
